Access by private vehicle: Ma-15 Palma-Manacor motorway to Algaida; take the Ma-5010 and come off at Randa to join the Ma-5017 and then on to the Ma-5018 to the Sanctuary.

History

Just near the Sanctuary of Nostra Senyora de Cura (Our Lady of Care) is the cave of Ramon Llull, where the famous Majorcan philosopher spent long retreats. According to tradition, this is the place where Jesus the Crucified appeared to him and where the philosophic system of the Doctor Illuminatus was revealed to Ramon Llull. Llull ordered an altar to Nostra Senyora de Cura to be installed in the cave. At the beginning of the 20th century a monument with an image of Ramon Llull was erected, which was barbarically vandalised a few years ago.
