How to get here
As a result of its longstanding tradition of farming, livestock and all agricultural activities, the region of the Pla de Mallorca boasts a large number of buildings designed to exploit and use resources; among such constructions are the windmills.
There are 16 windmills in Algaida, all privately owned. With the exception of the Windmill of Sa Talaieta, which consists only of a turret, all windmills have a base which was used for storage and as living quarters.
- Begin the route at the Windmill of sa Talaieta.
- Move on to the windmills of Xina, S’Aljub, Gasparino (also known as of Fosca) and the windmill of Barrera.
- Then go on to visit the windmills of Mostaxet, d’en Pau, de sa Punta, d’en Bosso and d’en Roig.
- Continue the route to the windmills of d’en Boi, d’en Nofre, Nou, d’en Mulet or d’en Falconer and the windmill of n’Andreu.
