Begin the hike at the square of Algaida. Take the Street of Sant Joan towards the cross and the well of Colomer. Carry on south along calle Migdia, which is the Llucmajor road. Without leaving the town, turn right on the calle del Sol, opposite a windmill.
On leaving the village there is another windmill: the one of d’en Bosso. Begin to walk along the secondary road from Algaida to Llucmajor, along the Camí de Son Miquel Joan. Five minutes after leaving Algaida you will pass the houses of Can Ricard (on the right). A few metres ahead, turn left, along a narrower but paved road: the cami Son Roig y de l’Heretat.
After a curve to the right, you arrive at the houses of Son Roig. From here carry on along the cami of Son Seguí y de l’Heretat. Very close to the houses of Son Roig is a crossroads. The itinerary continues to the right, leading up to the Puig de Son Roig or of Galdent. Within five minutes, before arriving at a house called Recó de s’Heretat, turn left.
Some three minutes after leaving the Recó de s’Heretat you must pay attention, as you must leave the wide lane leading to Can Rectoria, and take the right lane towards the Puig de Galdent. Walk along a bridle path which will gradually become steeper and narrower. After w while you will reach the top of the Puig de Galdent (419 m.). From here, you will see the Puig de Randa to the east and the flatland of Puntxuat to the west.
Hike down from the Puig de Galdent, known by the inhabitants of Algaida as the Puig de Son Roig, towards the area of sa Sopegada des Gegant. Walk along a rocky edge to a small mountain pass and turn to the left, along what hardly seems like a path. Move from the left to the right side. Back to the left and, as you move downward, you will reach the ruins of a small peasant farmer hut. Leaving these ruins behind, move towards the area of Sopegada del Gegant. Within a couple of minutes you will arrive at hill which separates the Puig de Galdent from the rocky edge of the Sopegada del Gegant. Turn slightly to the right and walk around the deep hollow spreading to the left, with vertical rocky crags.
From the Sopegada del Gegant, descend down the south side of the Serra de Galdent where the sandstone quarries of Galdent are located. Llucmajor appears in the distance. Leave the Galdent restaurant and the paved road behind and turn right along the Caminal de ses Puntes, which will lead you within 20 minutes to the houses of Puntes de Galdent, by the road.
At the road turn left, until you reach a three-way fork. Take the left lane towards the Caminal de Galdent. A few minutes later you will reach the crossroads of the paved road; pass the cemetery and, at the next crossroads some five hundred metres from the cemetery, turn left to Llucmajor, where the itinerary ends.
